Music Video Study Day - Event

For the event we firstly sat with pete and he gave us some top tips for our blogs - after the break we went to the dance studio to re-create Robbie Williams - Let me entertain you.

We went through a few shots and Pete and Jake gave us tips along the way after every performance. I operated the handheld camera and Jake told me to definitely get the close up shots and in-depth shots to make it more interesting - this goes back to the idea of depth of field.

Also he consistently told us to try harder when performing as it needs to look good and the performance is one of the most important parts. The fact we went through it a numerous amount of times shows how much effort needs to be put in to get a good shot or enough to be able to work with.

Jake also showed us a few short cuts to make it look effective but with the items we had, We used chairs as a dolly to get a tracking and moving shot and we used youtube for the music. It was really informative and easy to learn about.
